neighborhood ghouls

Our neighborhood had a fall festival Saturday night.  It's the first time we've attended, but I'm not sure if it was the first time it's been done.  I didn't have high expectations, but it was fantastic.  The kids were given pumpkins to paint:

Forget finding a needle in a haystack, there was all sorts of junk goodies hidden for the kids to find:

There was also a scavenger hunt that required the kids to grab a sticker whenever they found something on their list.  Every kid who finished their list got a prize (Seth chose glow sticks, Amelia chose a beanie bear).

Dinner was provided, and there was a silent auction for the grown-ups.  If the amount of hay on my bathroom floor after we got home was any indication, the kids had a great time!
