adding to the chaos

Last week, Seth started talking about wanting a fish.  We started talking about earning a fish.  Pretty soon we were ALL getting fish.  I'm glad we didn't get a betta, because I had one in college and the thing lived forever.  (Not that I want these fish to die.)  But I didn't really have a 10 gallon tank in mind.  That's what we brought home Saturday, and we got our "fish house" ready.  Tuesday night we picked out our fish.  We have three female fancy guppies and a snail.  The kids love to sit and watch the fish swim around.  This morning I found the snail on the back of the little house, and over the next ninety minutes he was all over the place while I cleaned up the kitchen.  Seth's fish has an orange tail and is named "Tiger".  Amelia's fish has a yellow tail.  It is super fiesty (go figure!) and she named it "Queen".  My fish is plain and is named "Lily".  She is the nosiest most social of the three, which Nathan finds amusing.  Nathan named his snail "Speedy", but Seth calls him "Sammy Slowpoke."  We're trying to go by the book to decrease the mortality rate, so we can't add any more fish until next week.  The first 24 hours have been fun!
