Last night we had our first home swim meet! It was very exciting! Seth wore his new jammers with the team's logo on it. In case you were wondering, he officially wears the smallest size endurance suit Speedo makes. I bought the next size up, so he can wear it for a year or two (or three).
Seth was REALLY nervous about the meet. He thought he'd be racing against the big kids. When we got the heat sheet, he was really excited to be swimming with/against his friends. And then we got to the pool, and he got overwhelmed. His coaches spoiled him, he had a man-to-man with his dad, and he was willing to try it out. When the meet started, he watched the girls race, and he was ready to go! He was in the 6U free relay with his buddies. Here he is, ready to go:His team was in second place by the end of Seth's leg of the relay:
The kids enjoyed playing during downtime under the 6U tent. After the relays and long events, it was Seth's turn to swim in an individual event. He placed fourth in his heat of the 25Free. He had a great time!
