book nerd

I don't know if you've noticed my little button above my book list.  Yes, I am a proud book nerd.  I have more books than I know what to do with.  I get lots of hand-me-downs and loaners.  And sometimes at the consignment shop, while I'm waiting to see which of my stuff they'll keep, I get sucked into the 75% off rack, and I score a hardback book for $1.50.  About a month ago, I received a chain letter that screamed my name.  One of those where you send the letter out to six people and send a book you've read to the person at the top of the list.  Now I've done these things for recipes, dish towels, and children's books, and I'm tickled if I break even.  So far I have received four books in the mail.  It makes my day when I see a manilla envelope with my name on it.  I tear them open to see what the title is.  I have read two of them already and loved them both.  Yes, I am book nerd, but there are worse habits, right?
